How to delete your Servd account and what happens to your data.
Your Right to Delete
You have the right to delete your Servd account and the personal information we hold about you, at any time, for any reason. This page explains how to do it, what gets deleted, what we keep, and how long it takes.
How to Delete Your Account from the App
The fastest way is from inside the app:
- Open Profile → Edit profile.
- Scroll to the ACCOUNT section.
- Tap "Delete account".
- Confirm the action — you will be asked to type "DELETE" so accidental taps don't end your account.
- You will be signed out immediately, and your account is queued for deletion.
Email-Based Deletion (If You Can't Access the App)
If you can't sign in or have lost access to the email associated with your account, send a deletion request to privacy@aspirecore.com. Include:
- The email address or @handle associated with your account.
- A brief verification of identity (e.g., the approximate date you created the account, the city you set as Home City, or one of your recent plate posts).
- Confirmation that you want your account permanently deleted.
What Gets Deleted
Once a deletion is initiated, we remove the following from our active systems within 30 days:
- Your profile (display name, handle, bio, avatar, home city, taste-travel cities).
- Your taste DNA + all flavor preferences derived from your activity.
- Your plate posts (photos, captions, dish names, flavor reactions).
- Your dish ratings + reviews.
- Your friend graph (sent + received + accepted requests).
- Your TONIGHT sessions, participations, responses, and bookings.
- Your menu polls, votes, and comment history.
- Your memory queries and search history.
- Your booking confirmations.
- All telemetry events linked to your user id.
What We May Retain
We may retain limited information after account deletion in the following circumstances:
- Aggregated, de-identified analytics (counts, distributions) that no longer identify you personally.
- Records required by law (tax, financial, fraud-prevention obligations) — kept only for the legally required period.
- Backups containing your data may persist for up to 90 days after deletion as part of routine backup rotation. They are not used for any active processing and are deleted on the rotation schedule.
- Comments + posts you made on other users' content may remain visible with your handle replaced by a generic "former user" label, since fully removing them would alter another user's post.
How Long It Takes
Deletion from active systems: within 30 days of the request being received and verified.
Removal from backups: within 90 days, on our normal backup rotation schedule.
You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete (if your email is still on file at the time of completion).
After Deletion
Your account cannot be recovered. You may sign up again with the same email, but it will be a fresh account — your prior posts, friends, taste DNA, and history will not return.
If you change your mind within the first 7 days of submitting your deletion request, contact us at the email below and we may be able to cancel the deletion. After 7 days, the request is irreversible.
Friend Notifications
When you delete your account, your friends are not notified directly. Your name simply stops appearing in their friend list, your past posts disappear from their feed, and any open TONIGHT invites you sent are cancelled.
